Disability Support (Ld, Asd, Challenging Behaviours)

At Herts Healthcare, we’re here to give tailored assistance to disabled Adults. We acknowledge that everybody’s conditions will be unique, so we never utilize a one-size-fits-all strategy

For persons with learning difficulties, Herts Healthcare offers specialised care that encourages independence and self-direction. We believe everyone should have the opportunity to have a full filling life, which is why we offer kind, individualized support that promotes well-being. We are aware that each person’s situation, circumstances, and preferences will vary. Because of this, we work closely with clients and their families to develop personalized support plans that prioritizes clients’ needs and objectives.

Companionship Care Is Important Because It Can:

Caring for loved ones who have learning difficulties can leave parents, carers, and other family members feeling overburdened. We are available to provide individualized and compassionate support to help with navigating your loved one’s condition. Herts Healthcare is accessible for emotional, social physical support.

In line with the REACH Standards of 2018, Herts Healthcare is proud to support residents to choose who they live with, where they live, who supports with their care, the choices of their relationships and having their choices considered in line with the Human Rights Act(1998).

in line with STOMP (Stop The Over Medicating of People) living with learning disabilities or autism or both from psychotropic medicines when they have no diagnosis of mental health. Herts Healthcare will ensure service users’ medicines are appropriate to their diagnosed ailments and will prompt GP for regular review of medication as well as verify the prescriptions of PRN especially regarding challenging behaviour in learning disabilities and autistic people. Professional intervention will be the order of the day in a bid to protect the human rights of these individuals and help them have a voice to speak out and be sure not to be over medicated when there can be other less restrictive remedial measures in place by professional eg SALT Team or behavioral psychologists. Medication should be the last resort in managing behaviour in LD and mental health related conditions.

Physical Disabilities Care

Living with a disability shouldn’t keep you from living a full and dynamic life. Whether a person’s disability was recently diagnosed or is something they’ve lived with for a long time, our consideration and backing are intended to guarantee they can live as autonomously as could be expected.

At Herts Healthcare, we’re here to give tailored assistance to disabled Adults. We acknowledge that everybody’s conditions will be unique, so we never utilize a one-size-fits-all strategy.
